I got two 1. places there too, so I got my 9th champion title.

The race is over, it was a really great experience for me. At the beginning I thought it would be the same race as the Worlds, but when I saw the Olympic five rings at the top of the roof i realized that it will be an absolutaly other race. Maybe thank to this feeling I made 2 mistakes in my first time trial. The second was better. After we had the quarters. Even if I could have to choose a group I woudn't be able, cause all the groups were very strong. I got 6 and 8 then the last moto was pretty good. Some riders made a mistake on the pro section and I could jump away beside them and finished 4th. This was an indescribable experience, I never forget it..

After breakfast I went into the town to visit the oakley safehouse. The enter of the block8 is an elevator door. I went upstairs to the 3rd floor. There after a fast registration I got some very good stuffs. Special gogles, gloves etc. After that I went back to the village and took a sightseeing with bike. I met some BMX riders also. (Biezen, Scherpen, Wildenberg, Baltzersen, Jared Graves etc.) Tomorrow I’ll make a short shopping, then some practice ont he street.

After 9 n a half hours trip finally arrived to Beijing. There where some fans with us on the plane and made the feeling. Our luggages were the first to be put out, then we went to the Olympic Village by bus. It took about half hours. It looks like a small town full with 10 storey houses, just here people can see olympic athletes everywhere from so many countries I never known before. Many many chinese help us in everything. We also had our lunch in a huge restaurant where everything is for free from the McDonalds to the Thai kitchen. Now I suffered with sleepiness but I have to stay up till evening.. The weather is very awfull now, its raining…c ya later
today I woke up quite fresh, it was good to sleep after 40 hours.. After breakfast we went down to the gym. Then we went to the town which was not so simple, cause the village is about 15-20 kms away from the centre. But we could use the subway for free, so I don't complain :) we got lot of gifts, just because we are olympic athletes. The village is very nice full with trees, fountains, rest places, biliard saloon etc.
tomorrow I'll have a small practise with my bike then just look around..

Qualification of reserve places 2008 Olympic Games Beijing - BMX
Dear President,
We have the pleasure confirming the qualification of your National Olympic Committee
(NOC) to take part in the BMX events during the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.
Below you can find the places which are at your disposal in the different categories:
BMX Cycling
Men:
1
(event on 20
th
and 21
st
of August 2008)
These places have been established according to the regulations decreed by the
International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the International Cycling Union (UCI).
I had a race in Austria, Mühlen on Sunday. The track is very new, so it was not complicated.. but I liked it. The start-hill was from stones and sand, that was strange. I had to change my back tire (thnx to Sabine :) ) after I could come out from the gate without any problem and could win the race. The people who are living there were very kind with me (autogramms, riports, pictures..) Anyway I was happy to be there.
official reservist
2008. 07. 05.
We got an official letter from the UCI, and I'm a reservist with Arnoud Dubois. We're waiting for a country to stand off. 27th of July is the deadline also for the wildcard. ..hope dies last :)
Baierdorf

From the worlds I didn't ride on my bike so I thought it's high time to go for a race. This was the austrian championship. Not too many riders, but the race was in a good mood. The gate was strange, cause it fall down earlier than the sounds came. However it was a nice weekend and I won on both days. but on the same weekend the americans had the choosing competiton for th Olympics. Check it out
WC - Taiyuan, China
2008. 05. 29.
We arrived to Taiyuan, China where the UCI BMX World Championship is being held on Tuesday morning. We were very tired after the 12 hours journey, so after the lunch we slept some hours. After we went to the track and watch it. It seems very nice and fast.
On wednesday we made a short trip to two temple, which were beautiful.
After we had a 1 hour practice in 35 degree and strong wind. Fortunatley it wasn't a side wind so we could jump everything. The pro section was very easy in this situation. Actually I like this track. Today we had nothing to do and the next practice is tomorrow...
Friday practice went well, I could make everything I had to do. On Saturday the weather was good, there wasn't so big wind, so I was ready for the race. I could make my motos and got a hard 1/8. This was the big chance to get to the Olympic. I was nervous at the gate and I missed it of course. I tried to come forward but I finished at the 6th place. At this moment we were 3 riders for the last quota but I had the 3. time, so I stay at home in August... I can't believe that I was so close..
